corner view "cityscapes"

Hi everyone! This week´s theme comes from Cele and is "cityscapes." She suggested that we go to the highest point in our town and show what we see. This was taken from a spot in the medieval part of my town looking out at the center. I know... the center of town also looks pretty medieval...
Sophie´s idea for next week´s is "the beach." Hey Joyce you are up next. Now if I can only remember where I left my bucket and shovel. Happy travels!

Okay I´m off to Argentina!
P.S. Help! My list of links is all over the place. Can someone tell me if you can copy and paste these from the sidebar, because Blogger is giving me grey hairs. Thanks!

I did not know we had to go to the higher point and show what we see before posting but there is sometimes funny coincidences ...

Bonjour, voici ma 1ère participation mais je ne savais pas non plus qu'il fallait trouver un point de vue élevé.

I did not know about going to higher point, so my post is urbans landscapes in a large sense!
Yours looks very nice.

Great view.

Sorry, like Isabelle, I didn't know about the 'high point' bit, so my photos were taken from the lowest point possible: sea level. Well, I suppose they could have been lower if I'd been under the sea at the time.

That is a beautiful city view! Hope you have a lovely time in Argentina :)

I'm missing from the list of links this week but my corner view is here.

J'avais aussi des photos prises de l'arc de triomphe et je les ai rajoutées.

We don't really have a high point!! I ran up some outside steps of a building. You're really getting around aren't you??? We don't have a beach either but will do what I can. Ali.

I thought your photograph was a painting at first. It doesn't look modern at all. I think that's wonderful!
I also didn't realize about the "highest point" part,

cheli said...

no sé Jane, pero creo que el punto más alto de la ciudad es desde la torre de San Vicente, pagas, creo, un euro y te dejan subir hasta el campanario, te acompaña un guía,merece la pena, no obstante, tu foto es muy chula....

oh... this is absolutely fabulous... my best trips to europe have been to spain simply for that medieval architecture. wow. what a view! and i'm glad to see i wasn't the only one who missed that we had to go UP for this one! so my view is at city level this week. safer for everyone.

Francesca said...

I had no idea about the highest point instructions! I love the view from your highest point, though. I really must tell me whether you have one of those magic windows!

aimee said...

just tested copying and pasting my sidebar by going into the template but blogger won't do it. so i guess for the sidebar, you'd have to add the links one by one :(

salut Jane,je pense que je vais me remettre à l'espagnol et venir en Espagne...Je prefère d'ailleurs ces villes très "typiques" plutôt que la côte.C'est très joli !

Love the photo of your city !! I miss beautiful buildings like that !!

As for the links. Why not just direct people to your side bar instead of putting the links into your post each week ? Alternatively, we could leave a comment on your blog with the link to our posts when we've done them and then people can hop around from your comment section.

I can teach you how to do it so that it looks like this ...

Bonnie in AustraliaIt's easy !

Anyway, those are my suggestions. I didn't know about the high point thing ... must have missed that along the way but I took my photo from a high point anyway so I must have known intuitively !!

Bonnie said...

ok ... so it would not have the 'it's easy' right after the link ... don't know what happened there !! ha ha.

Jane, I'm already getting busted with my camera in stores, parking lots next climbing buildings!! LOL... You are a hoot! Argentina"! You are one lucky gal! Have a wonderful time. Many hugs...

PS I notice I was following you on blog visits, but now I have to stop and get ready for work today instead of tomorrow. I wish I could help in the list problem but I'm lucky I can sign on the computer. LOL... xoxo

Mm hmm, Mmm hmm. I love it.

Beaches huh? I'll see what I can do, if I can't get out to a beach I may end up with a shovel, pail, and sand dumped in my bathtub. That counts right?

Elizabeth said...

I didn't realize we had to go to the highest point but worked hard on my post anyway! And your photo is just gorgeous, Jane.

Thank you, as always, for organizing this adventure every Wednesday. I usually just copy and paste from your blog for the list of participants and it seems to work...

They sure don't build 'em like that in the States... sites I only dreamed about from picture books. Lovely photos, but I didn't expect anything less.

Set up went well, but tomorrow starts the real work.

Once again your photo is leaving me speechless! So beautiful, that's what the USA is missing....really OLD buildings made from what the earth provides!

Wow, your area of Spain looks beautiful. I do so miss the super old buildings, shapes and beauty of Europe...making me home sick (but in a good way!). How beautiful.

I am loving the Corner View posts, thanks for setting it up!

Your city looks charming and full of history! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful. Makes me think I should drag all of the toddlers downtown and make them them trudge up to the top of the Washington Monument. Or maybe not.

I just dropped all of your links into blogger and made them into a paragraph with commas. Let me know if you want me to e-mail you the html code for that. (if so I'll need your e-mail)

Also, thank you for visiting and commenting on my site. I really appreciate it.

Jane, Mc Gillicutty suggested in my blog comments that we start a corner view blog, where we can all post there. What do you think? This is what I said:
"we could easily set up a Corner View blog and make everyone a contributor, then we can all post there. I don't mind doing it, if everyone wants this. I think the format now works well, because we all get to visit other blogs, but we could post in our own blog and then in the communal one, maybe? We should ask Jane, as she started this. I'll get in touch with her."
I couldn't find an email address for you, so I'm posting this mega long comment here! :)

Hello, Jane. I'd like to join in with Corner View - would you please tell me what I need to do?

Thank you.

Thanks for your response, Jane. When I post my picture on my blog, do I list all of the names that are at the end of your post or just link back to you for others to see who else participates?
