corner view "place of reflection"

Caitlin´s creative idea for this week´s theme was, "places of worship.. or places of reflection. A place you can go and just be."
I know what you´re thinking... pool, water... reflection. Actually, this is where I go to not reflect. Forty minutes of concentrating on moving my arms and legs at the same time while not breathing under water, doesn´t leave much room for contemplating much else.. This is my break from thinking, planning, reflecting... My mantra; reach, kick, breathe... reach, kick, breathe... relax...um, but first get out of the pool...
Thanks Caitlin!

Next week´s theme comes from our southern belle Kim and I quote, "the unveiling, showing your true self" cause I know carmie doesn't look like a bunch of colored pencils and you don't look like a cup of starbucks!!! hah! for those of us who have already shown ourselves, well, i guess we'll just have to come up with a creative alternative!"

:-) Yes, please don't relax too much while still in the pool.
I love the color of the water and the stillness in this photo.

Oh, Jane, we can swim in Pamplona! Ha! I do laps three times a week and it is a ritual that I agonize over and adore at the same time. Just one lap and I am relieved I am there.

The pool looks perfect to get lost or not lost in thought. Kick, stretch, keep that head in the water... Cute Jane!! xoxo

Perfect! The stillness of water and it's roaring force are both very peaceful in their own ways.

Can't freaking wait for next week!!! I keep going back and forth... Is Jane blond or brunette, short hair or long, gorgeous for sure!

Happy Day!

I love your pool but it does look like a pool for swimming not just relaxing and kicking back....so places to just be....I will have to post the beach again......but I also have a favourite couple of pictures taken in Milan Cathedral and whilst i am not particularly religious it is certainly somewhere you could just be.....

I love this! I didn't realize it was supposed to be related to religion or else I probably would have posted pictures of a mosque. Oh well, I guess this is more personal since we are not Muslims!
Best wishes!

Sometimes the very best form of reflection is the quiet, simple kind. Just breathing and being. No agenda.

water just makes you reflect (didn't even think of the literal reflection before you wrote it:)

or water just makes you forget. i love to snorkel. it completely empties the mind too.

happy day to you too ~ trinsch

While I am not a beach babe, I do like to swim. There is something so soothing about water. Nothing on earth can come close to its comforting and calming sound.

By the way... it's good to hear that you really don't look like a Starbucks cup.

This is a perfect place, so quiet... but maybe sometimes it's a little bit more crowded isn't it?

What a nice place to swim. It makes me want to get back to a pool. I remember having lots of daydreams as I swam, thoughts of reaching goals at the end of each lap. Enjoy your week!

Great exercise, I wish I wasn't so afraid of water. I've always been very phobic about it.

Lately I'm not reflecting in the pool, either. I'm keeping an eagle eye on my 4-year-old, so the pool is definitely not relaxing these days! I played along this week, thanks to gillian, who introduced me to corner view. So much fun. Thank you, Jane and I love your blog!

That's such a wonderful pool, looks relaxing and quiet.

I'd really like to know how do you really look, but privacity is something many people (like me) need here because we keep our blogs as a secret.

What about your daughter's stuff?I mean, the writing thing.
Have a wonderful San Fermin fiestas,I'd like to be there
