for cathrine... finally

These were taken a few weeks ago when we were invited to join some friends in Navarra. We stopped in the town Casa la Reina, which happened to be celebrating their fiestas with an open air market, farming competitions, and red peppers...

And of course, no fiesta is complete without some bulls running through the town...

Hope you had a nice weekend. Ours was lazy, filled with movies, naps, eating out, studying for exams, more naps....
and no tattoos... ;)

¡Dos besos!

Great, great photos. My weekend was spent letting my aching back heal. It was spent watching my poor husband do everything around here that we normally do together on the weekends!

When I was a teenager I spent 15 days there in summer camp. I always remember the bulls...Lovely photos.
No film this week, no Woody Allen at cinema, sniff.

Pimientos! My brother sent me (from Rioja) 200 of them as a birthday present and after a lot of roasting and peeling I have lovely preserves for the whole year!
I tried your cake recipe, I’m not sure if I over-blended or overcooked it (funny texture, tastes nice though). How long do you keep it in the oven for?

LOVE that picture of the peppers. AND of the beautiful bulls. But I wouldn't want them heading in my direction in that way!

Goodness, I wish I was on travel. Without the bulls.

Your photos are always a feast for the senses!
Wonderful reds running through these.
My daughter used red peppers in tonite's dinner, so I enjoy the arch filled with them, spicy and delicious.

Casa la Reina....I remember the siesta I took by the chimney after an exquisite and pantagruelic lunch at "La Vieja Bodega". Just thinking of it makes my mouth water. Beautiful pictures, as always.

This has to go in a magazine for the world to see... I'm thinking Gourmet or something like that! These are deliciously amazing!
