I love small films. My favorites are the ones where the writer is also the director and who probably does the coffee run. Here are a few I´ve seen recently;
Who Loves the Sun
The Vicious Kind
Incendiary
The Private Lives of Pipa Lee
Annie Lebovitz: Life Through a Lens
It´s kind of a Funny Story
Actually, these are all a bit dark. If you are going through the February blues like me, maybe you should wait until March to see them...
Big hugs my friends!

it is not just february blues this whole year has sucked so far.
beautiful foggy mood pics! there's no better time to watch dark films in the most unpleasant times of the year!
you created a beautiful foggy mood, suitable for staying indoors and watching movies. I've never heard of any of the movies you mentioned so I will have to write the names down so I can look for them at the public library (i'm currently sitting inside one). I'm also wishing for sunshine!
The photos are very beautiful mist. Like me. We have seen the moment is not different: foggy, grey and cloudy. But soon will start in March and will then slowly the spring.
I've had the january blues. cannot afford any more blues, I'm going for yellows in february. nearly over... tú puedes :)
a perfect mood for a movie and that Annie Leibovitz sounds great!
do you enjoy any Pedro Almodóvar movies!!!
You must not be getting the lovely weather we are getting here in Georgia
i would love to walk through that fog for a morning or two! i hope you get out of the blues soon... your pictures are so still and lovely.
I love your pictures Jane.
The photos are very beautiful but I know what you mean;)
I love small films too, often they have very interesting subjects and dialogues. Low budget can bring high quality.x
Did you see these at a film festival or on a compilation dvd?
I know what you mean about blues ... I am eager to see Blue Valentine but not in the mood for moodiness at the moment!
Those photos are amazing. The one of the grapes and vines in the fog is my favourite.
Oh that fog! Beautiful!
The fog reminds me of home in Central CA. Fogs and grape vineyards. REALLy reminds me of home.
Jan blues, Feb blues.... let the Spring come to watch dark movies or let's go to this place you took picture of. and let's cuddle in front of a fire....
Oh February...The month that makes me say, "seasons? who needs seasons. let's move to the desert!"
beutiful pics!!!!
One big Hug
Dany
looks like perfect weather to watch those movies. Gorgeous photos, Jane.
Btw, a saw and exhibition in Vienna some months ago about Annie Lebovitz. It was really good :)
Mmmm love the grapes.. they are grapes right?? some good wine will come of them for sure!!
Beautiful shots of the fog! My honeymoon was in Malaga, so, Spain has pleasant memories for me:)
Oh no my friend I don't think they look dark at all, very misty and unknown. Almost magical with a hint of mystery. I LOVE the 1st one the way it almost disappears on the top. xo
the legendary february blues. ha! i'm not the only one to go through them then...
no, no, never wait till march! now is the time to enjoy the darkness and misty maze in your images.. and a good little movie to go with it.
cheers!
You must see Waitress, it has all the cualities you like on a film but it's quite optimistic. Love it!
Your foggy photos are kind of bluesy, but usually once the fog lifts, the sun comes out.
Love the photo of the vineyard.
Can I send you sunny hugs ?
Blues... but beautiful.
It's the darn winter weather...that's the bummer..the blues. I need light and sun!
Your photos are stunning...love the fog ones.
wow Jane! These photos are so beautiful and go so good together!!!
Sending you some shiny warm hugs. xo
yes, february blues are kind of a standard here in new york. nearly everyone goes through a bit of a funk. despite the doldrums, your pictures are so moody and alive.
i refuse to watch anything but the silliest most trite films till months after the baby is born. THE TOWN was as deep as i could go, and even that was a little too dark for my taste. there's quite a catch up list that is building up of the actual GOOD films i want to see one day.
jane, hope you get some sunshine tones in your life again soon. luckily, feb. is a short month!
I'm loving the same kind of films but this whole list is new to me!
Thanks for sharing! Going to watch them one by one!
P.S. Spring is around the corner! hang on! xx
Love the photos...the atmosphere is perfect.
And I live in a blues...so, just try to enjoy it..
Those foggy shots are gorgeous!
Or maybe May -- when everything is lush and verdant!!
I have not seen any of them. the last film I saw was Pixar's "Up" (on video) with my kids, and I must also have the february blues because it made me cry! Besos!
i feel so blah this week - ugh! hope it doesn't last as i've got things to do! your photos are perfect for this post. enjoy your weekend!
superb foggy series!
February blues you say. We still have 2 feet of snow here. Sigh....
I just love your photos! They are as beautiful as a fairy tale.
love the second one
I've written down all the movies to watch on March...
can't wait for my February blues to go away!!!
PS. Great pics!
loved the blog...
I've been right in that state the past week or so... and to add another movie to the mix: Never Let Me Go... winter over soon? I think yes!
A blue thought for you (or pink?).
Have a nice day Jane.
I didn't see anyone :(
Gonna try!
oh I do have the february blues too! hope it will pas soon...
I like this fog.
Lady, you kill me. Your photos are hauntingly beautiful.
When is the book coming out? Seriously ... even self publishing, we would all buy it!
I think I will wait for march on the movies although I saw the Life through the Lens... saw a big exhibit of hers in San Diego a couple of years ago and it was fantastic.
I love your photo! Captures that fog of the month and feeling a bit low so well, again can you start a shop so we may buy large prints of some of your photos you have some that are so beautiful ! Film list, love it, thank you!!!!
