So how about you? Could you live here?
1 Monastery in Oña
2, 3 Oña
4 Pretty bunch of trees on the way to Frias.
5-9 Frias
Turns out looking for a new home is reeeeally time consuming. My kids haven´t had a decent meal in weeks, I can´t remember where I left my camera, and a load of dirty clothes actually walked to the washing machine itself.... ;)
Big hugs my friends!

Not sure I could live there, but I'd love to visit. Berta looks wonderful and really gorgeous photos Jane. I'm not looking for a new home (just yet) but the same laundry situation is happening here too, the kiddos are running riot and I started rubbing hair wax on my face a few days ago!! I need a vacation !!!
those are some of the most beautiful photos I've seen on your blog! all of your photos are beautiful but these...
I always wonder if I could live in differenent places and what it would be like. Why the "hell no!"? I don't know much about old cities, our oldest places are barely 200yrs old here in Australia.
Good luck finding a new home!
I didn't realize you were moving! Best of luck finding your dream home! I could not live there, but I'd certainly like to visit! Gorgeous photos, as always. In fact, some of the most beautiful ever, I think. (ps we have VERY exciting news...)
good luck with your new home, wonderful and dreamy pics!!
Nope, I couldn't live here but I'd sure enjoy seeing all this beauty in person. WOW.
Thanks for sharing and happy house hunting.
xo jj
I think I could live there! It's wonderful!
Oh, yes! (But maybe just for a year!)
you have totally outdone yourself!!!! Magnificent pictures! Not sure I could live there either but give me a camera and at least a few hours....wow! Thank you!
The area is so beautiful, rather medieval and lonely. In the previous life maybe I could venture living there but now, I do not think so;)
The picture of buildings at the edge of the cliff reminds me of the town of Ronda.
Me encanta tus fotos ! Pero no estoy seguro que podria vivir allí!
Me gusta mucho tu blog, tienes unas fotos fantásticas.
Oña y Frías son dos pueblos preciosos, pero quizá demasiado tranquilos para vivir en ellos. Me gusta la paz, pero a la vez me considero urbanita, necesito cerca la ciudad.
hell no either. at first glance, yes deffo, but then all the pro's and con's...
it's like the chocolat movie. smashing to look at, but all that chocolate overload... unpractical.
so glad your washing is self sufficient. what's the magic spell?
am in love with the photo of them trees though!
hang in, keep calm,... and good luck!!
n♥
Missed you and I your lovely photos. The monastery on the cliff, wow! Don't think I could live there, too close to the edge. Every night before falling asleep, I would imagine that it's going to fall off the cliff during the night.
well, obviously not. you know I'm a city gal at heart (even though people annoy me no end too ;P)
could your washing possibly teach my washing that trick? it would be most convenient. ta.
Yo creo que no podria vivir en un pueblo asi, aunque la erdad son preciosos para ir a visitarlos!
Feliz Domingo!
Oh, that roof shot. Sigh.
Wow, very very nice pictures!!!
Britta =)
I'd like to visit! That next-to-last photo is so gorgeous. Like an Impressionist painting. Hope you find the home of your dreams!
Oh Jane, your photos are beautiful... And I always like so much the way you see the world !
Have a sweet day
My in-laws have the same problem. They want to move, but there just isn't much available unless they move away from all their friends. We on the other hand can't seem to sell our old home because there are too many homes on the market. I am a city girl, so maybe just a visit to ona y frias would be nice.
Wow. Your photos are so beautiful. I just love your blog... I get to see things I've always dreamed of seeing and in such a great perspective too!
Thank you!!
WOW the trees and the roofs! Such great pictures.
I also think that when I go to those places... and well,it depends on whch place we talk about, but Burgos definitely no. Maybe for a short period of time to have a healthy artistic-reflecting rest, but I prefer the mountain for that.
Castilla is just so... I don't know so plaine and monotone that it is hard to find beauty in there although there is and very much.
After a week playing in Fallas and my parents out of town I've also been having awful lunches and today I have to do the laundry and clean the house hahaha so don't worry about your children, I'm fine by now and they'll be even more when they enter their new house in Madrid (Ö)
These pictures are absolutely amazing!
Difficult to decide whether I could live there without having been there personally. Mostly I feel at once if or if not. I wouldn't say I couldn't live in such an old historic context, but if it's as lonesome as it seems, there should be a lively city nearby.
But either way, I would love to see these places at least for vacation! Extremely beautiful!
oh my
these are more than beautiful...
just watched the pics
didnt read your words
house hunting....ugh. I'm so sorry. All the hype/disappointment/searching for a parking spot/ wondering how somebody could decorate so awfully/live with that smell/etc. I hope you find something soon, I know for the most part it is not a fun process. I totally think you should post some outtakes of crazy places! ;-) Good luck!
no idea whether i could live there or no, but it looks definitely worth visiting! good luck with finding the new home! i'm pretty jealous about the clothes that walked to the watching machine itself. I would have some use for clothes like that! ;)
so quiet, so beautiful!!
That village perched on the edge of the cliff looks enchanting. Could I live there? I don't know. I would have to visit and feel the vibe of the place to know for sure.
Good luck with the home searching...and if you need a break, call.
Beautiful photos...
thank you Jane for your comment on my blog ! that is a huge compliment coming from you ... one of my photography heroes ! i adore your photos ... seriously, #1, 3 and 5 in this post are STUNNING !!!!
Oh yes. I could totally live there!
This set of photos is phenomenal! Love, love.
Wishing you a dream home to appear in reality for you soon...
although i love the fountain, the trees and the monastery on the hill, i couldn't live there. i would be afraid to roll over at night. hang in there, you'll find the perfect place and all will be back to normal once again. xo, c
A simply picture perfect post!
I feel like packing my bags and travel to Spain now!!!
love it!
hugs
Lila
i like very much the picture çf the trees
XXX
wow! those photos are totally breathtaking Jane!
...and yes, I could try to live there!
buena suerte con la mudanza!
I don't think I could - those roofs look way too well maintained compared to the standards I'm used to here :) Great photos, Jane. I think Merlin lives there, somewhere.
the 5th photo is breathtaking.
Love that misterious places as I love dark woods... Maybe I am a little weird; but I could live there!!
beso
;-)
your shots are beautiful, thanks for this trip my dear.
kisses from lisbon!
A French hug for you :)
Oh, those are beautiful, Jane.
When we were little we went to Frias quite often to spend the sunday on spring. I remember picnics with gazpacho and empanada, running around the ancient bridge and playing hide and seek...
Thanks for reminding me....I must take my little one for a picnic there now.....
Suerte con la mudanza guapa!!
Hello sweet Jane! So happy you came to visit. Your pictures are as beautiful as ever. So much calm emanates from them. Thank you!
wonderful perspective in this set. i love those trees.
thanks for visiting my site :)
Well, i'm not sure i could live there for a long time, but i could spend some time there, maybe more than a vacation, maybe a trimester. Both are really beautiful towns
qué bonitas fotos! son unos sitios maravillosos. I love it!
i couldn't live there i don't think... this series is so sepia. you would be living in sepia there. not for me.
1. You make me laugh!
2. These photos are positively MAGNIFICENT!!
3. Yes, I probably could.
Beautiful images, remind me Ronda.
I'm sure you'll find the right place to live in sooner than you expect. Fingers crossed xxxx
