guetaria

We took Daniel and a friend to Zarauz on Saturday. Before heading home we stopped in Guetaria. Guetaria is a small fishing town within walking distance of Zarauz. Here you will find narrow streets, typical fishermen homes, and the best seafood restaurants. Be warned, if you ever have the priviledge of eating here, you´ll never look at a fish in the same way again.
I didn´t realize that my camera was on the wrong setting. (Last time I lend my camera to Coco.) So the pictures are a little off, but you get the idea...

I just can't figure out that 6th photo, and I know it has nothing to do with your camera settings ... what are those "things" lined up there?

whoah whoah whoah is what first came to mind...[with a thick, Rocky-sounding Philly accent! ] these are amazing, not-so-plain Jane from Spain! i think we've just upgraded to Taschen Spain coffeetable books with this one! it amazes me how you're able to lift the everyday into the sublime. you've got a good eye...Conde Nast Traveller, anyone?

p.s. i love the zapatillas! yes, i'd like to know more about the fish...did they look to lively to eat? i felt that way the first time i went snorkelling! :]

Looks like a wonderful day! Despite taking pictures for a long time now, I sometimes forget to check the settings and occasionally find the setting dial got bumped or something in my camera bag - very frustrating.

I have the sweetest childhood memories of Getaria. Every summer my family would go several times to have lunch there: cousins, aunts, uncles, grandmothers... Yes, we used to have the best fish there (besugo was my favourite and now it's so pricey I don't even look at it in the menu). Nowadays, every summer we make a point of having a special dinner with my cousins in a nice restaurant there. Oh, I can smell the port and the sea!
