Look what I received in the mail. Sweet Joyce sent me jellybeans! What a great surprise! Even better because today is my birthday. Surprises and pink birthday cake*... it doesn´t get much better than this.
In Spain, it is custom to pull on the birthday person´s earlobe for the amount of years they are celebrating. They also treat everyone, instead of being treated. So I owe you all a beer (or a coffee with soy)! Cheers!
*I´ve left the cookbook open to the cake recipe, pink food coloring, and money for ingredients....... I like pink cake...

Ah HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I'm glad you have been getting spoiled with jelly beans.. yum! I love the earlobe thing! That's what I am going to start doing.. and people will give me strange looks.. oh well what else is new! :)
I remember when I was little my grandad would always pull my earlobes on my birthday! It's one of those great Spanish customs I love, like eating 12 grapes at midnight on new years eve.
Happy birtday a few days late...have been away from the computer for a few days. I hope it was a great day, I love the cake. We share a birtday month, my 39th bday was yesterday (the 22nd).
