i´ve been thinking again...

I thought up next week´s theme mostly because it happened to be very early. Now, after giving it more thought, I realize how much coffee has played a part in my life.  Over a cup of coffee I´ve solved problems, thought up business adventures, made lots of plans, and laughed... a lot (among other things). So I thought it would be fun to add the following to our corner view "coffee"post...  to have something to talk about over our cups of coffee.

How do you say, "two coffees with milk" in your corner? Hey, it´s up there with "please," "thank you," and "toilet?" (Or in your dream vacation spot.)
What are the most popular ways to drink coffee?
How do you take your coffee?
French press, percolator, espresso, or other?
Are you a dunker?
What was the funniest topic of conversation over a recent cup of coffee?

Dunker = to dip (bread or other food) into a drink before eating it.

Un beso!

I love my morning coffee! Coffee in England is not the best (sometimes I really miss Spain), but it's getting better! There is a Starbucks in every corner here, and I go there quite a lot, more for the coffee shop experience than the coffee itself. At home, I use my kettle and my french press. My kettle is one of the things that make me glad that I'm in England. I never knew what a kettle was before I moved here, can you believe it? And now, I couldn't live without one.

I walk, eyes half closed, to the coffee pot each morning as my kids start, one by one, to go off to school. When I smell it brewing in the kitchen, I know it is time to get started each day. I take mine straight up!

You're making my head spin with all your thinking, are you sure you're not drinking too much coffee:)?
PS Thanks for the semantic explanation, I would have never got that!

You and Coco are always welcome -- especially Coco! (damn rabbits!)

I love dark, rich coffee. I take it was creamer (not cream, not milk) and Splenda. I have a French press and a drip coffee maker.

You have had business adventures (pural)? I've never had a business adventure even though I drink coffee.

Ahhh cafe con leche in España... Missing that now. Warming the milk before adding it was the secret.

Great prompt Jane. Looking forward to next week.

When I was in spain I remember thinking the coffee was SO amazing. Which it was, but it also turns out that what I thought was half and half was really honest to goodness cream- ha! no wonder it tasted soo good.

What a smart cookie you are Jane. What a fun idea. I am looking forward to next week.

I woke up this morning with sore muscles.. my husband blames it on our bed.. I attribute it to all that hiking in the great outdoors yesterday. Gorgeous scenery on everyone's blogs!

Thanks again!

eleven o'clock... during a pause in my work. Before to stop smocking, it was the first coffee cigarette ! Now, it's not so plaisant... and coffee after lunch. That's all. Expresso of course, the only one !

My favorite way to drink coffee is light and sweet. If only my life were that way. Great now you've got me thinking.

jane,
love your photo!

more or less i drink warm milk with coffee, not the other way round, and sometimes a lot of it.
i think i like the smell more than the taste of it.
i remember the good old days when old women used to pour coffee from the cup to the saucer, put a lump of sugar in their mouth and gulp the coffee through the sugar. that coffee was black and strong and the cream was thick.

Ah, that will be interesting. I gave up coffee almost three months ago (drinking just green tea now), but can at least talk about it! ;)
