san prudencio morning

Spain loves her patron saints. Every town, profession, and person has a patron saint. People celebrate their patron saint´s day like a second birthday, businesses close on their patron saint´s day, and towns throw big parties on theirs. It´s a wonder anything gets done around here... Vitoria´s patron saint is San Prudencio. Above are a few snaps from the festivities in the Plaza España.

Great snaps.
So full of color and culture.

PS to Transportation Wed, today when I was en-route to catch a bus, I just had to have a starbucks coffee in a paper cup. I was drawn magnetically into the store. I'm sure it was your little picture with the Starbucks cup --must have gotten to me subliminally!
Happy today♡

It's similar here. Every saint has their own day, and every saint's day is a holiday!

Oh my gooooodness! Are there any computer and "joyce" of all trades jobs in Spain?! I so... want to pack my bags and catch the next flight out. Alright I'll even forgo the packing and bring Gary and Kelly. I love what I can see and your pictures as always beautiful! Have a golden weekend my friend! xoxo

You've got some good shots there. You are beginning to see things with a photographer's intrusive yet unobtrusive eye.

lovely!

I was in spain (madrid) for a month in college. I would love to go back, mostly because I don't think I truly appreciated the beauty of the country and the culture.
Thansk for giving me a wee little dose of this rich and beautiful country
