sunday marathon

Martín Fiz

Martín Fiz, world champion marathoner, is from Vitoria. Every year he sponsors a marathon here. We arrived just in time to watch the first runner cross the finish line. I don´t know about you, but I get tired just watching...

It's hard for me to imagine marathons in Europe because I've NEVER seen people out running there. When do these every day runners practice? Sure a competitive runner (a real athlete) would have to go out for runs - but who else enters these marathons?

I've never done one - I think that 5 miles is my absolute limit, and I'd probably be lucky to run 2 or 3 these days...

I don't run, but it can be exciting watching people who do. I would collapse after one mile.

If you ever see me running, just assume I'm being chased!

What incredible muscle tone in these men. I would love to have the stamina to run a marathon....

Love the cloud picture in the previous post. That's heartbreaking about your Aunt. I would have to shoot my sisters if they ever said anything like that to my girls (they never would though, b/c they too are the type to shoot a whole roll of clouds).

I don't run but my husband is a crazy runner... He has done many trails and races all over the world !!! I'm just watching him, with a book on my hands !!!

Since we have been visitig my folks in the States, I have been a little absent, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I love your last several posts... this one the photos, the last one the self-help comment, and the one before the absurdity of the clothes pins the the dryer... Happy weekend!

I get tired from watching people run. Today I have to walk 2 and a half miles to take my dog to the vet (his pre flight check, we fly Wednesday), that is plenty enough exercise for me without the need to run.
