amsterdam... life

We had beautiful weather in Amsterdam. It was great to see everyone enjoying it. People were hanging out on their front steps or sitting on windowsills reading.  Little tables were set up with food and drinks on people´s front sidewalks. And the canals were filled with little boats carrying groups of friends. It makes me happy just thinking about it...

These are the last of them. How about if we all meet in Amsterdam next year to take more?

Wow, so many great shots in your batch, which leaves me wondering... did you go to Amsterdam for an event/vacation, or to take pictures. Whichever... fantastic!

People eating french fries with a little fork has always cracked me up. I guess I am just too American... it doesn't taste good unless you eat it with your fingers.

Mmm, I wouldn't mind some of those frites right now! No big surprise these pictures are fantastic. The last one should be on the cover of a bride magazine or something.

The news really seems to be getting to the guy in the fifth picture, which is, by the way, a great photo.

That last one is perfect! The sun on her hair so lovely...to bad you can't give this picture to her. I'm sure she would cherish it (unless of course it's a picture of her suffering a quick hug from an acquaintance she doesn't much care for...I prefer to imagine it's a tender moment).

I'd love to be there! Amsterdam is certainly one of my favourite cities! I'll be posting about Scottish people enjoying the sun this weekend (now there's something I can't say too often!) I am definitely ready for next week's photo corner - didn't quite get to the highest point in my town this week.....

Your photos are beautiful and romantic. My husband is Dutch. We've been to A'dam many times, but my pictures always look rainy and sad. When I show them to people, they say (with obligatory enthusiasm :) "ah..that's nice" but these are WOW! The colors, composition, the feeling, ahhh....now that's REALLY nice :+D
