corner view "the beach" spain

For this week´s corner view´s theme (thank you Sophie) Jorge and I took his motorcycle to Mundaka. We visited the town and had lunch at an outdoor terrace. (The sacrifices I make for this blog...) Mundaka is famous for surfing and is one of the best in Europe. Unfortunately, it was low tide so no waves. I love the last photo. I took it from where we were having lunch. The men at the next table, all of a sudden, yelled out, "Don´t jump!" Spanish humor...

Next week´s theme comes from Joyce and is "corner view out your back window or door."

I feel like I´m forgetting someone... if I have, leave me a message in the comments. Thanks! T I couldn´t find a link for you.
Now if I can just find my sunscreen... Thanks everyone!

Beautiful pictures as always! I wish I could be walking on the beach with tides as low as this one, I bet there must've been a lot of little treasures to look at hidden in the sand.

Isn't it great to have a man that will join you in your quests for the sake of blogging? Mine sometimes gets special photo assignments and laughs at the funning things I do for a photo.

Your afternoon lunch reminds me of our favorite restaurant that we had discovered on our honeymoon... fish that literally melted in your mouth. It just doesn't taste any better than caught fresh this morning.

Looks a lot warmer than the beaches here... I'm envious. Lovely photos.

i really like picture no 3. it reminds me of a puzzle i had as a child.

I absolutely LOVE the beaches of Spain. We have only seen the east coast and the south, but maybe one day we will see west coast! BTW- I think Corner View is brilliant! It is so fun seeing everyone's perspective!

kyndale said...

can I move to Spain? Sadly, no, but it sure looks beautiful. You got some great shots!

i really love your corner views...and i'm seeing them all over the blogosphere of late. i'd do it too, but all those links look like a lot of work and i'm rather lazy...so i'll just enjoy looking at yours.

you are so lucky to live in a place where you can sit at the harbour in the sun and have some fish and a glass of wine!

i'll be in italy and the south of france theís summer and hope to do lots of that - can't wait...

p.s.: that picture of the lonely (?!) bride is quite dramatic and i like spanish humour :)

Kari said...

Hi Jane,
the fish and wine looks like they had a good meal. Of course I love your other pics too.
Great corner view.

I am probably the only "landswoman" (according to the dictionary) in this corner view pond. I have to admit that all the sea and ocean pictures drive me slightly crazy. I actually feel like, looking at them, I must have had something in common with the sea in my past life.

Susi said...

Hello,

I was wondering or it's possible to join the corner view people!
It's really nice to see people from the world sharing them view!

I would love to be one of the girls relaxing and daydreaming on the boat. I can't think of a meal better spent than outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. Beautiful photos..

My favorite is the one of the two little girls on the bow of the boat! Precious!
Not exactly "down the shore" huh, Jane?

Someone paid me a really nice compliment the other day about my photography.. while I don't know if it applied to me, I KNOW it applies to you.

Jane, you have a gift for photographing and capturing the emotion of the picture. Thus causing me to feel the emotion. You really do have a talent.

I love the beach!

McGillicutty said...

WOW... once again you have managed to capture some terrific pictures! We are not worthy!!! I love the Spanish coast and your pictures do it such justice.
Do you think there's a way to create a Corner View site where we can all contribute? although I like they way you've linked on the side bar... I may try that if I have some time later. Gracias, Ali

I meant to say I love that area of Spain. I went to Bilbao about 9 years back and we had a week there - but we headed west out of Bilbao and stayed between Ribadesella and Llanes - beautiful coastline!!

Oh and I managed to post my beach photo!

ho, hum, yawn, oh, sorry - just woke up after a snooze - that's how long it took to scroll through all those millions of comments :-) hey - what happens next...jump or no jump? the cynic in me was thinking "JUMP!!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE," but the romantic in me was wishing her the best years ever. sophie has hives and la lune dans le ciel loves that you have lots of humor in your posts, and food!

Jane, I posted a corner view for the first time this week but am unsure how to add the list of links at the bottom. I started to do it by hand, but it's taking sooo long. Could you copy and past the html to me? Or is there an easier way? Thanks for your help!
