Where did you meet your husband, boyfriend, best friend....?
I met Jorge in a bar called Dirty Frank´s in Philadelphia. (The name says it all.) I can hear you laughing Kathy!
Love your august question, Jane. So funny to read all the answers.
I met my husband more than twenty years ago, I was not much more than a child, but fell in love with him immediately :) Met him on the street. I was together with friends and so was he.
Actually met my husband in high school (over 30 years ago), BUT my best friend had a crush on him at the time, and I was like, "Eh, he's okay." Years later, my brother met him and started hanging out with him. I knew right away he looked familiar and finally figured out who he was. Turned out we had a lot in common and really had fun together. The rest, as they say, is history. About 21 years' worth. And he's much cuter now. :)
Are you from Philadelphia? I am 20 minutes away! I actually met my husband on a blind date set up by my "seven-yrs-younger" sister. He was so nervous!!!
I was laughing even BEFORE I heard your shout out to me!!
I met my husband at the campus radio station. He was a disc jockey and I was a programmer. It was contempt at first sight! I thought he was pompous and he liked my boobs.
awww... this will hurt a bit (just lost him to cancer)... but we met at a bridal shower.. he was the photographer and I was the cutest one of the guests there :)
(See my blog post!) My friend introduced her older brother when I came to visit her after graduation...that was two years ago and we are getting married in two months! She wanted to set us up for years, but we hadn't met until that point.
We met in a life drawing class. He would (my husband now) always come to class a little late in his oversized overalls and hat turned backward, looking like a true artist :)
We met in an airport in Milan, Italy because our flight home from a film festival was several hours late. (We both lived in Los Angeles.) We've been together ever since and that was 22 years ago :-) xo
We met through friends. It was kind of a set up. I thought he was cocky and ignored him. This made him follow me around all night. Isn't that always the way...and isn't it funny how things often work out...
i met my husband when i was 12 - on the street, on the way to school. we never spoke, but one day, two years later, he asked me out, and we have been together ever since.
I met my best friend because she volunteered to give me a ride somewhere. I was 15 she was 16. On the way to wherevere I was going we stopped at Dairy Queen for a Peanut Butter Parfait and the rest is history. We have been friends for almost 23 years now.
just back from a vacation of my own. :) mike is my brother's best friend and my brother and i are very close. mike and stian (brother) met while working at REI during their early college years. (i was 16.) serendipitously, they were going to the same college. i followed a couple years later. mike and i were great friends for years before we became a couple. i love being married to my best friend. nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com
I met Bob through friends. We didn't date right off the bat though. I thought he was weird, then I fell madly in love with him after realizing how amazing he was. After he wrote me a song and played it for me I knew he was the one.
I met mine at work- quite dull. But it was complicated and made me finally to search for another job, not to be together all the time, at work and at home.

I met my husband in the kitchen at Lespinasse, a fancy, fancy restaurant in NYC. He was a sous-chef, and I was a commis.

Volunteering at a convention ;-)
I sat on my (now hubby's) lap at a party and said "Hi!" Ten years later, we are still laughing about that.
I met Bob through friends. We didn't date right off the bat though. I thought he was weird, then I fell madly in love with him after realizing how amazing he was. After he wrote me a song and played it for me I knew he was the one.
I was already working at the university bookstore warehouse when he started working there and I was asked to train him.
