What makes you envious of others?

Being able to speak publicly... (Not even picturing everyone in their underwear helps...)

Nothing... not because I'm perfect or I know a lot of things !! LOL ! When I was a little child, my parents told me I had to be delighted with the success of other people...

i am constantly learning to improve my public speaking skills, (and having to actually speak in public a lot, including chairing meetings) but i get so nervous every time. but i do think it bgets easier if you prepare well and practice.

i dont think i envy anyone for as much as i do those moms that magically get their figures back (flat stomachs and all) immediately after giving birth.

I agree with the one about people who can eat anything, yet never gain weight. Plus, I am envious of people who have clean, well organized houses.

I'm with you. I danced for 10 years and not once was I happy with my performances. I get in front of people and turn to mush!

I wouldn't mind having that flat stomach either...I'd even take it via a tummy tuck! LOL!!!!

It's already been said: but someone who is Audrey Hepburn willowy (AND eats) inspires the most bitter envy in my plump chest.

I also envy people with musical talent. and artistic talent. and thick, curly hair.

after six months of buddhist workshops, I'm trying to practice joy in other people's successes. I've learnt that whilst at first, telling myself that I am happy for that person's achievement or possession may be a wee bit contrived, eventually I will have re-trained my brain to actually believe it! :-) So whilst I don't like admitting to envy, there is a lingering flame of envy in me for people who have beautiful big homes - I don't want what they have inside, just the structure itself!
