berastegui

Friday was San Jose (Father´s Day) in Spain... a national holiday.... We spent the day with Jorge´s family. We met for a long lunch and then a nice stroll around the valley. A very typical family outing.
(The first picture is of stewed meat and chorizo. We went about 20 kilometers out of our way to have it.... Yes... this is what we ate BEFORE meeting everyone for lunch.... Don´t tell Jorge´s parents.....)

(And this is where Coco hung out while we were having lunch...)

I haven´t been home much this past week. And tomorrow I´m off to Madrid for a few days. I´ll catch up with you all soon.

P.S. You surprised me with your comments about my hair. (Thank you!) It has a mind of its own, and half the time I don´t even look in the mirror to save myself the stress ;) It´s funny, before I had kids, I had straight hair... smaller feet... and a bigger bra size.... facts I have no problem reminding them of when they start to get on my nerves...

Lovely way to spend Fathers Day. That meat and chorizo looks delicious - it must have been worth the 20k diversion! Lovely views of your walk too.

That is funny because I had much smaller feet and a much smaller bra size which I desperately want back. The meal look delicious. Have a great weekend!

Beutiful pictures Jane, but I think it's San Jose, because in Valencia we celebrate fallas because of it.
San Juan is on the 21st of June :)

Coco looks so cute in there, he seems very polite.
Big besos and hugs

These pictures are amazing.. very typically Spanish, it's a talent of yours for sure.
and your hair... I know, my hair went crazy curly for about three years after having kids... I tame it with a flat iron every day now.

Oh, what gorgeous, dreamy countryside! Take me along??

As for your hair, it is beautiful in its natural state. I've always had huge feet and unruly hair, and I've never even given birth. Count yourself lucky that your hair looks good in curls!

ps - I'd almost forgotten about "typical architecture" this week, but this is such a great idea, must work on it! I've got my work cut out for me the next couple days ;)

I so enjoy visiting your corner of the world and for the smiles. I do hope Miss Coco got a little scrap or two.

LOL... I use to have curly, curly hair. After coming out of the hospital over 2 years ago my hair is poker straight in the front, the sides wavey and curly in the back!!

shallow as it may be, i miss my pre-kid bra size. i haven't used that (yet) against my children, but, jane, it's good to have someone to teach me how to do these things. thanks for the tip. your hair IS beautiful btw. you can thank them for that one. just sayin'.

Hey Jane!! Coco looks pissed off. WHERE'S MY MEAT??

Hey, why 2 bowls of stew and 3 glasses that look like the same liquid? 2 fisted drinker?

Can't wait to see your architecture tomorrow. It's been pouring here and I'm likely to show the over flowing ponds and rivers heading for the buildings!! All my best, Jodi

Oohhh aperitivo! I love aperitivos specially outdoors (and yours look delicious!), funny about the shrinking bra-size, isn't it? I had always heard that the effect of maternity in bra-sizes was the opposite... Besos Jane!
