corner view "collections"

(Just yesterday...)

This week´s CV is "collections" and was suggested by the lovely Francesca. Personally, I don´t collect things. Probably, because I live in a home with only three closets. Daniel, on the other hand, is a regular pack rat. I never know what I´m going to find in his pockets. I remember when he was about 6 I found some stones in his pocket that had just gone through the wash. I told him, in my "angry" mommy voice, "Daniel I just washed stones that were in your pocket!" To which he responded, in his sweet innocent voice, "Thank you mommy." and skipped off.... (Yes, it still makes me laugh.)

Next week´s theme comes from Daan and is "The end of your street". Thanks Daan!

And a big shout out to Joyce for keeping CV running smoothly in my absence! Thank you my friend!

Happy Corner View!

Hi Jane, Welcome back!

I found that living in small spaces has cut down om my urges to collect things, too.

I love that story of Daniel - adorable! I was just hopping over to check out today's theme and now I'm off to the dentist, so who knows when I'll actually get to it? Anyway, I also realized I got rid of savannahgourmet@aol.com email and never told anyone! I think that's the one you use. So try kimbanks@me.com when emailing me. Sorry! Miss you!

Ha. I never know what I'll find in pockets either. Usually more boring stuff like gum wrappers and tissues.

Looks like you had a fascinating trip. Welcome home.

Welcome back Dear Jane!

I'm always checking children's clothes pockets before washing...

KathyA said...

I don't collect things either. Your story made me laugh. Takes a child to really put things in perspective. And better rocks than frogs. I love when money comes out of the dryer so nice and clean!

KathyA said...

Actually, I do collect something!!! Rocks! Everywhere we go (except from Pompeii - that would be illegal), I've picked up a rock. I try to remember to label them...

this looks more like my pockets! and what is it about the boys that they totally disarm us when we use that "angry mommy" voice? even the grown up ones!

welcome home nomad!

Unknown said...

Oh, that made me laugh out loud! "Thank you, mommy..."

I can't even count how many little boy items I've washed in pockets...but I don't think I've ever been thanked for it!

Welcome back. Your trip pics were stunning, as always.

As for "collections"-- My husband says I collect a lot of junk but it's really only odds and ends.

Cheers,

I enjoy your blog, so much. I'm in love with Spain, and I just returned from Bilbao. I live in Greece, another beautiful country, but I have Spain in my heart. We saw Alejandro Sanz in concert, too! You are sooo lucky for living there.
