I grew up eating tv dinners too since my mother worked all day. Did you ever eat the enchiladas by Swanson. I was craving the coconut pudding from that dinner the other day. I know totally sick when I can have much better food now.

I love this. I have realized how brave I am and have always been without knowing it. I actually think most people are. We're just so used to selling ourselves short.

oh yes, your espadrilles do remind me of holidays in france. i always wore them the whole day long and every single color is great. once saw a little espadrille shop in barcelona and had a lovely brown pair (still remember it)
i don't see them around here, but will try to find some.
this year we don't visit spain and i will miss it a lot. (although i'm looking forward to fly to greece, where we used to go island hopping 20 years ago)
but i'm a spain-lover, especially the 'unknown' places.

they probably don't use this word much in either spain or california - but jane, you are a mensch! you do have a lovely way of bringing people together and aside from waffles for dinner (do you get waffle irons in spain?) i like best that you are brave and that you are in love and that you wrote us a poem!
what i'm liking less is that you've been in mexico and morocco already this spring and NOW you're taking the rest of the summer off!!!!!!! nice life!!!! (so jealous!)
