i´ll meet you in the comments

These are some of the "snow" shots I was telling you about. (I wasn´t kidding.)
I´ll be hanging out in the comments section. So if you want to talk about photography, music, books, Spain, face cream. (You know, "important" stuff.) Come say, "hi!"

Hope you are having a great week!

Hi! Now I want to go back to the Pyrenees, it looks sunny and beautiful. I went on the French side 15 years ago, but all we did was trying desperately to flirt with the French guys we saw. We consentrated less on the skiing.

Bree said...

HI!!!

wich one you use ? [face cream, yeah right.]

happy day sweetie!

jane said...

hi girls!

jane said...

p.s. i think most french men are gorgeous. (don´t tell any spaniards that,))

Beautiful pics! Yesterday when I arrived back in Aachen from a day in Cologne, the whole town was suddenly powdered with snow!

Now I'd like to go skiing again...only did it twice in my life, but it was extremely fun!

And yes...you're right about french men! might be the same with the spanish men, don't know, only met some gorgeous spanish women so far ;-))

Hi.
I have to admit I envy you for living in north part of Spain. Do you speak Catalonian or Basque? Do people on the north part even speak Basque (what's the proper word for basque language)?
I'm planning to go to Barcelona at the end of April this year. If I'll have the time, I might fly to Girona. Have a great day!

Kristina said...

btw photos are beautiful!

Have a nice day.

well... I'd like to know how I can be in these photos in a wink ?!
I guess I would have to call the Enterprise star ship & ask for some teleportation...
11 months ago I was somewhere in the French Pyrenées, and the snow started to fall & cover everything just the day of our arrival :) a gift !

I loved reading all the different comments about the weather. Some too hot, some too cold. Here in the Pacific Northwest (US)it is very cold in the eastern part of Washington state. I could use a little heat!

Bellas fotos. Las fotos de la nieve de verdad son especiales. Ese blanco infinito y esa calma.

jane said...

hey sammi! it´s freeeezing here! and i´m trying not to think about this month´s heating bill...

hey nadine- thanks for asking... i didn´t win. a totally photoshopped (is that a word?) picture won. i really have to learn it some day...

Daan said...

The snow photos are beautiful! Hope you had a good day hanging out in the comments!

Beautiful photos. I always think of Spain as being a warm country - even in winter - so seeing snow in Spain always comes as a surprise. Although since there are mountains it really shouldn't.

Joyce said...

A wonderful view!

I'm bummed about you not winning the contest. I was just going to ask about it. The contest I entered back in May- same thing photoshop won. After talking to a few photographers they consider this photography. Go figure. Oh well, in my eyes my friend you are a winner!! xo

jane said...

hi di! actually i have. :)

hey loree- yeah we have snowy winters... i have to move south:)

thank you dear joyce!

Snow always gives a chance to take great pictures!
Hahaha how funny it is to me when you mention Spain as something to talk about.
P.S.:I agree with you, French men are doube, triple, four times more gorgeous than Spanish men (well with Jon Kortajarena's exception)

jane said...

hahaha!

Leslie said...

Love that photo of the red cross on the white chapel... and I can't BELIEVE a photoshopped photo won. My daughter just finished a college photojournalism class and photoshopping was a BIG no-no. It meant you didn't know how to really use your camera to get the shot you wanted.

jane said...

hi leslie! yeah- i agree with you...(i could go on...but i won´t;)) sounds like a great course. xxx

Rie said...

I love the 2nd last photo!
Did you know that I have only ever seen snow twice? (in real life that is).

Snow!
How much I miss it these year...it is so white that covers all grey days.
How is going ? Did my friends words help?

Someone asked what's the proper name for the Basque language, it's "Euskera". I'm spanish and Basque, I speak both language, and I'm desperate for having a coffee or tea outside in the garden.
happy quilting
P.S: I'm a quilter and I love your photos

I just got back from Madrid and Barcelona....am I allowed to scream now or later???? I LOOOOVE SPAIN! I miss Spain. You are so lucky! I bought from El corte ingles, Kiehl's eye cream and I'm thinking of ordering the face cream from the States. I found it a bit expensive in Spain (48.00E).
Un beso.

Hi Jane,
your photos are great - I really must experience this snow thing!!
I do like the red cross against the white snow and blue sky.
sorry that you didn't win photo comp.

So hopw long did it take you to learn spanish? I may be needing some classes...
happy day!

Kari said...

oh jane you make me laugh!
your photos that you post certainly make me want to come and live in spain - you do a great job for showing the best of Spain.
To answer your question hubby is looking at a location where the main language is spanish.
we should know for certain towards the end of the month.

Manya said...

Hola Jane!
Thanks for writing! Last May I was in Bilbao (to see Alejandro Sanz!) and on my way back I was crying. I loved it! Coming to Spain, to me, is like having an oxygen mask on my face. It's my psychotherapy, where I charge my batteries, where I feel I belong. My next trip will be to the south now. The Spanish and the Greeks have so much in common, it's amazing how many similarities I find. Ah!

Looking alot like IOWA!!!

I came across this blog by accident and am in love with it (maybe because I love Spain)
but will be visiting every day.
Just wanted to say thank you for this wonderful blog.
It's taken my whole morning and half of my afternoon to go over the previous posts and beatiful pictures.

Cindy said...

i love your photos and sorry you didn't win. you should have. some photoshop is a good thing to know, but stay real. no smoke and mirrors needed on your pics. xo, c

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! You are very talented!

cate said...

face cream is a very important subject around all that snow. so i have found out this winter in ny. we put schmears of burt's bees carrot cream on the kids each morning. it smells like carrot cake, so they have gotten use to something that, i think, used to feel like torture.

so, then, jane, what are you up to right now? i love it when you post. it's always such a treat to hear your voice again. did you make it through all of the sewing that you had to get done? xoxo

soisses-dasleben said...

your words... so true... your pics... so fantastic....

jane said...

hi girls! thanks for your sweet sweet comments!

cate- i just told a friend of mine to send me burt´s lip balm. it´s addicting! (i had more sewing to do today! it´s never ending!)

big kisses!

Holli said...

The sticks coming out of the snow? LOVE it!

Amazing photos-- If I promise to carry your luggage can I travel with you :-)
Cheers, jj

Where are you? My experience with skiing stations is that there is always like 20.000 other people around us and your photo looks so calm and quiet... Sorry about the contest, but please, promise me you will never photoshop your photos! true talent (like yours) does not need photoshop! Besos hermosa! (After years of spending fortunes on creams, now I use nivea face cream, it is wonderfully cheap, about 6€,and it's the one that suits my skin the best!)

Miss Zen said...

Not as great since I saw those pictures....I want to go there, breath fresh, pure air and watch the deep blue sky shinning in the snow...

Entre Nous said...

If we had mountains like that for all the snow here to sit on I wouldn't be complaining about all the snow! Gorgeous!

Jane, I haven't been here for a long while. Hope everything is well with you. Hugs.

I am using olive oil face cream and love the close up twigs ... the snow stripes are cool and what a groovy building in the last shot. What else were we covering?
You are not winning? You were robbed. sheesh.
Hope you get some sunshine and warmth soon!!

Jane, you're the cutest. I love the girl chat over here. Fireside chats with Jane in Spain!

It was miserably cold here in Rajasthan (by Indian standards) and all the little goats that run around our neighborhood were wearing SWEATERS! How cute is that? I need to get some pictures of the spectacle.

Big hugs to you! xo

Esti said...

oh, I'm dissapointed you didn't mention your favourite face cream... ;)
