Just got back the first roll of film from my trip to Madrid last week. We had beautiful weather which made it hard to get any work done. Here are a few shots of the Parque Retiro. I just sat on a bench and watched the world go by. One of those moments when you realize you don´t need much... ;)
(I´m starting to fall back in love with color film. There was a time when I would only shoot in black and white because I was just too cool. But I really love the feel of these.... Or maybe I´m just not cool any more.... ;) (My kids are NOT available for comment;))

I love B&W too but sometimes it feels like a photo has to be in colour to tell the whole story. I really like the second photo. Would love to be there right now.

Beautiful moments! Love the Angel and the amazing clouds!! :o)

P.S.: Don't know if Coco and cats go together...Paula isn't a cat dog, although she was together with kitten when she was a puppy. Obviously she forgot that, now she barks at any cat that comes in her view. :o(

I would like to jump into that big puffy cloud like in a pile of pillows and let the little guys from the first photo watch over me.

The photographs are incredible. With today's photo editing, I no longer do black and white film, I just make my picture black and white if I want it that way. Not a true photographer, I guess.

Wooooow I'm so amazed by the second and third photo...I mean THAT LIGHT is awesome! How could you catch it so well?
So you're back on old film cameras?
I'm thinking of taking my dad's old reflex film camera to a trip to Toulouse so that it'll be a bit more romantic than just taking digital photographs and being able to modify everything in them.
i don't know why but I always loved how non-digital cameras catch the instant. Digital are more...i don't know more artificial.
As always I ended up taling about me...
I'm glad you're going to Madrid to live, it's a great city with a huge cultural offer, which will be such a good thing for you and your family.
Bug kisses!

You know my father loved Frias, I don't know how many times he portrayed it in his paintings. I loved your photos too, you are a great artist my girl.

I love your photographs. I used to feel so superior, using only b&w film. I got over it.

Jane, your photos have gotten lovlier than the last time I was here. I do drop by from time to time, but often don't have the time to tell you that I did... surely you remember back to the days of one year olds... wheh!

But I just wanted to let you know that a big "wow" always escapes my lips when I do get a chance to stop by, relax, and soak in.

Hope all is well with you.
