madrid in film

So after going back and fourth to Madrid all year... Visiting schools, neighborhoods, bothering Madrileños with thousands of questions.... A new job has found Jorge. Where? You might be wondering... in Vitoria..... I´m off to eat a gallon of ice cream and then to crawl under the covers until October....
Send me hugs... please...

That is a total bummer, but I guess the good thing is that now you don't have to pack. Maybe someday you can move to Madrid.

loved the film post with the goldfish and the jhl post too (also one of my heros - and a wonderful painter).

so.....you're not moving after all! over to Plan B?

nothing in life is ever certain is it?

Fantastic pictures as always but where is Vitoria?
I guess I will check Google maps. I hope the ice cream was good.

Sending huge hugs! Sometimes the plan really is perfect, it's just hard to see it until we are on the other side. Faith my friend! (and maybe chocolate)

Your photos are so beautiful and vibrant. I wish I had enough courage to take photos of complete strangers on the street.

If the weather there is as warm as it is here, you won't be able to stay under the covers for very long, even if you do eat ice cream.

Brilliant photos despite the fact that things didn't work out.

In Danish we have a saying: "Der er intet der er så skidt at det ikke er godt for noget" meaning roughly "Nothing is so bad that it isn't good for something" :-)
I LOVE those film shots!

I can not believe it! I am happy for you though, and think of all the wonderful shots of Madrid you were able take while you travelled to and fro...If you happen to take a last trip to Madrid do go to Alonso Martinez, the best terrazas and cañas! Besos!

Husband, husband, husband... Always a good surprise in reserve !
Abrazos and hope you won't feel sad to have to renounce to dreams you would have planned for your ex-new life in Madrid. And thanks for the pictures which made me travelling in time.
Enjoy the sweet side of life (ice-cream is a good way to start).

Hi! I just popped in from Extranjera's blog (I Still Don't Know What...) because the title of yours on her sidebar caught my eye since I too live in Spain! On and off since '95, on the Med in Alicante.

These are gorgeous photos you've taken! Film?! How have you found a decent place to get them developed? That was a problem for me even before the digital age, now... yikes! No hay casi nada!

You're moving to Vitoria? I have a friend there (I'll actually be driving through in 10 days to pick her up on our way to a wedding in France). It's supposed to be lovely when the weather cooperates, and the mountains and sea aren't far off. Plus the cuisine in the Basque country is to die for! ENJOY! Y Buen Viaje!!!
