philly on film

Some random film shots from Philadelphia. I couldn´t decide.... Was trying to convey the spirit of the city... But don´t think I do it justice....
Thank you for all your well wishes. I´m taking it this week. That is, if I can´t convince Berta to put on a wig and take it for me.... or maybe Jorge... :)
P.S. I saw the documentary on Bill Cunningham. What a beautiful film! I advise watching it on the sofa, with a cup of tea, cozy blanket, and a warm body snuggled against you (preferably a dog... who will let you watch it in peace.;)). If you don´t have a dog, Coco is willing to travel. I´ll have to come too... to translate... her English is a little rusty... OK, I´ll stop rambling now. :)
¡Hasta pronto!

Hi Jane, thanks for visiting. What a great collection of shots! Natural, well composed and unique. What are you shooting with?

Hi Jane - I've been away so long. These are just fabulous. You must have been so pleased to get the film back - like opening Christmas presents! Truly beautiful. Happy weekend, and I hope that test goes well. I let my (NY) license lapse when I was in college many years ago, and drove without one for NINE years(!) because I was so freaked by the idea of taking the test again. Wow - stupid things we do as young ones...

i love your film photos of philly. the composition and tones are so lovely. just wish they were of nyc and i was able to meet you in person.

if people want to be grumpy they should NOT see the bill cunningham documentary because smiling from ear to ear is unavoidable!

Great images of Philadelphia. The more you show the more I tend to believe I have been there by myself. ;o)
And, by the way, I wouldn't mind watching a film with you and Coco on my sofa!

These are just fantastic. I have never been there, but it feels like you capture the spirit of the city. they are so moody...

With or without Coco, you are always welcome on my sofa: we will have tea and cookies and will watch the documentary together :)

And this is why my sister says, "It's a nice picture. It's no Spain Daily, but it's a nice picture." Your ability to find quaint bicycles around the globe is amazing.

SOTA Spirit of the Artist - your artistic spirit shines through these photos. All are wonderful, but I especially love the last one - black figures against the white tower.

I am sure my children would love to play with Coco since we don't have a dog and they love dogs. Anytime you want to visit Georgia you are welcome to come visit.

All beautiful shots. And I can't believe after all my USA travels, I've never been to Philadelphia, ever. I'm scratching my head wondering how I missed it.

Thanks for the photos, you nudged me a little close to planning a visit-- as soon as the snow is gone.

love love love! I've been to Philly once, I really enjoyed it, but not to the max cause a lady who I met in the bus, kept going on about the criminality, danger and poverty in the city, I was on alert all the time. Now I feel ridicioulous about it :S

Best of luck with the drivers, I only got mine about 5 years ago and also because my beloved handsome gave me a deadline... I thing getting my drivers has been the greatest achievement of my life, honest, I have so hated cars all my life (scared of them too, and drivers in Madrid, all maniacs!!!). On a happier note, love all the photos, your pueblo is indeed beautiful! BesosXXX
