dinner with friends

Steamed mussels with tomato, octopus, boiled potatoes, and cold white wine. Dinner at a Galician restaurant in the old part of town.  Not the best shots... I was too busy eating. ;)
Have a great weekend! :)

mmmmm!!!! it all looks so good. what a big squid! when i see one, it always reminds me on my goddaughter living in Korea being offered live squid as a delicacy. all she wanted to do is to free the squid in the ocean :)

The first photo is Alien IV, right?

You have copper cooking pots - a definite statement of permanent residence. You ain't never moving back to Philadelphia.

Hi Jane! I wish I could fly out for dinner sometime... And I love that you wander into the restaurant kitchen to take pictures!

Just ell me that it was "pulpo a la gallega". I loved it when I was in Cantabria last time and I would like to cook it at home. Many thanks. Great photos and post.

Greetings from London.

Wow! That octopus is... intense. It all looks so good, maybe except for the full on octopus (though later he looks yum). I hope all is well, Jane!

Oh my, that's just too cruel! I'm salivating, I dread to think what the 'good' shots were like...! Nice Dan Mangan song on your other post, thanks for that...
