you haven´t lived
An Irish friend of mine told me about this. Bananas, sweet butter, and bread. It´s like a banana cream pie without the baking. Ok, not very Spanish, but the bananas are from the Canary Islands... Don´t try this if you have an addictive personality...really...

Ah - I LOVE bananas with bread and butter! But often I toast the bread - taste it! Wish you a sunny day today ;o)
It does sound very much like Irish cuisine.
jorge brought you bananas? how sweet! i slice them on pancakes (and still add syrup - is that what's called gilding the lily???)
Miam, banana is the best of fruit for me. One banana everyday.
In my house too, because ... I'm no chef!
You trained at a culinary school? That's interesting!
Yahoo.... Jane, you made my day! I am so going to try this one. My love is 90% Irish and I don't think he knows of this.
My trip to the Canary Islands was one of my favorite trips!
LOL...It is so true about eating cereal! Just like the shoemaker and his children running around barefoot.
Have a golden day! xoxo
Hmmm, have never tried this, love peanut butter and bananas. I will take your word for it and try it.
Culinary school, how neat. I would love to do that someday. I love to cook when I make time for it. I'm one of those people that will cook like a maniac one week, but the next week it's peanut butter and jelly!
Oh, my! This may be our afternoon treat. Do you just add sugar to the butter to make it sweet?
...I totally need to find J.O. magazine! We would be hooked!
I'm going with the Peanut Butter..motherly OCD need to add protein!
now this...this is living! i would never have thought to put those ingredients together...i love the way you sliced the bananas: like crusts removed on a sandwich! i was thinking maybe sprinkling some brown sugar on top of the bananas...and some sweet Plugras chef's butter...yummy! s'more please...[recipes!] p.s. this is better than anything Gwyneth Paltrow's been sending out in her newsletter...
