corner view "breakfast" of champions

Forget paella, tortilla, or even red wine ... The Spanish staple ... chocolate milk. Spaniards drink this morning noon, and night. I´m talking ... children´s first words are "Cola Cao," posh men in suits, in bars, drinking it for breakfast, not too hungry for dinner, "have a Cola Cao,"... kind of a staple. Now if only I could find out if Mr. Cao has a nice son for Sara...

Next week´s theme is "modes of transportation" from the lovely ladybug-zen. Ian you are up next.

caitlin, joyce, ani, couturecoucou, kim, a day that is dessert, natsumi, epe, kaylovesvintage, trinsch, c.t.,

*hey "malo" from Stockholm I need your link. Thanks!

*Sorry Elizabeth for misspelling your link. I´ve corrected it and promise to wear my glasses...

** Two more corrections: Fracesca´s and Allison´s... Sorry about this. Don´t miss their posts on breakfast- they are fab! (Please correct your links... and don´t kill me...)

ha, ha... Everybody thinks colacao (chocolate milk) is a drink for children and people usually have coffee in the morning... I just don't have that adult side of me fully grown, you know...

Allison said...

Germans love their chocolate for breakfast too with the ever-famous Nutella. Loved your post.

Victoria said...

Hi! Was wondering if I could be included in the list too! I found your blog through Francesca's.

an ex-flatmate offered me a milk chocolate made of cola cao years ago. I have to confess that at the end I ate the whole box - spoon for spoon...
and felt very guilty at the end because I coudn't find cola cao in our supermarkets to replace it...

The Spanish do like their chocolate. When I was there, I loved the chocolate-dipped churros on a winter morning.

Great shot, Jane! For us it's Ovaltine. My kids adore it, and I must admit I've been known to down a glass or two myself, especially in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. It really works!

And I also love Cola Cao, only I had to stop buying it because at the rate it gets drunk in my house, it was too expensive. Seriously!

Dear lord in heaven....I would get totally insane!!!
