my staple...
Hi everyone! Next week´s theme comes from lovely Caitlin and is "places of reflection... where you go to just be..." Kim would you mind going next? I´ll be visiting you all a little later. I´m off to S.S. to see a man about a fridge... my life is so glamorous...
P.S. I´m looking for a pen pal ("a person with whom one becomes friendly by exchanging letters"- letters... with stamps...) for Daniel so he can practice writing in English. So if you know of any kids that could be interested, send me an email with the info. (They can write in Spanish or French- if they want to practice writing too.) Actually, if there are a lot of you, we could start a little pen pal circle for kids... I like this idea... Thanks!
Thanks everyone for sharing your views!

Great pictures. Mmm, now I want paella.
oh paella how I love you.
it has been way to long....
Mmm i get hungry already!
What a great idea a kidspenpalcircle, too bad my kids are just too small...
-x-
Happy Cornerview!
Yum, Cola Cao! Every time we go to Spain I fill my suitcase with that stuff to bring home :)
We were just trying to decide what to have for dinner. Now I want Spanish food, but my favorite Spanish restaurant is a two hour drive away. Sigh!
Fantastic, LOVE the way you did this. I'm struggling with this week's theme...but I will persist...!
Oh, Cola Cao! How I miss it!!!!
These staples look more fun than mine!!! Very interested in the pen pal things. My youngest is 1 13 year old girl and she takes Spanish, and my son, 15, takes French. Let me know. xoxoxox
Does it get any better than paella and tortilla? I think not!
Hey Jane, great view! I'm taking a little summer vacation from corner view - can't plan ahead with the kiddos home :) xoxo Lecia
Amazing pictures. I love the stacked feeling and repeating.
Ah, so this is staples!
I have been living in a non-English speaking country too long, my post may be a little off, more like "basics".
I will ask my daughter about pen-pals, if you don't mind her English is so-so, but it would be good practice and I like the idea too.
Best,
great shots... mmmmm paella I could go for that right now :)
Great list, Jane, and fabulous pictures as always. I feel like such an amateur when I see the photos from the other Corner View participants but I'm having a great time and perhaps a photography class is in my future!
Where are the veggies Jane? I know you eat veggies!
WOW I would be in heaven with all the choices of olive oil!! What time is dinner?
mmmm, paella, my favourite ever! great corner jane!
Perfect! Paella is always on our summer time menu! Oh, so good!
I've been so interested in your corner views, and have enjoyed them immensely. I love to photograph, but my connector cord went MIA during our move. I can only upload photos when I have made arrangements in advance...
Like this week! I will be joining your corner views next week, and I am so excited!
(I write mostly at Journey Wildly, and that is where you will find me!)
And, that is enough coffee to keep us all awake for weeks! Cheers!
oh! COLA CAO! (that's the cocoa stuff, right?) hahaha... that takes me back... i was visiting a friend in spain eons ago, and was not a coffee drinker at the time, but wanted to join in on the fun, so i dumped a bunch of cola cao in my coffee, thinking maybe a mocha-type drink would ease me into the coffee thing. it did! i'm an addict today. minus the cola cao.
LOVE the pen pal idea...
A well stocked supermarket! Good luck with your fridge adventure!
lol ...Jane !if you love chocolate, there are good here in Suisse.Give me your address if you want!-lalunedansleciel@hotmail.fr-
bise !
Mmmm ... it reminds me the paella of my grand father (he was spanish) .... and your pen pal circle for kids is a great idea (may be Lou will join in a year or two ...)
What a choice of oils and coffees! I always love visiting markets and supermarkets when I am abroad - the ranges and choice of food are always to good!
Off to work but promise to check out the rest of the foodie posts later!
I got dizzy!
And what a great idea witht the pen pal thing. XXX, Carmie.
i love the photos you took ! great corner view !! i need to not look at any more before dinner though ... i'm hungry already !!!
Nice shots Jane !!! I'm hungry now !
Besos...
Love supermarkets in foreign country's....
Wow, it looks like I'm a day late and a dollar short... when I first looked at your photos I thought... wow, yellow must be the color for all the product packaging in Spain.
It still cracks me up about the whole chocolate milk thing. I can still remember your post about the men in suits drinking thier chocolate milk.
I'm so addicted to chocolate... that could easily be my staple food as well...
Thank you for sharing and have a sunny day :)
Un bacio,
Kasia
i love to go to the supermarket in an other country!
Love it. Spain... so colorful as always!
I love all the colors in your pictures. Everything looks so bright and cheery.
The "staples" I posted aren't quite so nutritious. :-)
Great selection! Olive oil is definitely something I cannot live without!
I love the idea of pen pals.. my oldest is just learning to write English himself, haven't moved on to any other languages yet.
jane, what bright and beautiful staples you have there. i'm dying to try cola cao, of course. they must have it somewhere here in new york. you've definitely got me wondering...
and, my kids are too young to be penpals. that is unless daniel wants a lot of letters that say my daughter's name and her brother's names over and over. i'm guessing no.
Hummmmm I need a paëlla... now!!!!! Love your pictures! Sorry for last week' s corner view; I didn't had the time ...
ohh, Cola Cao! It's so good. It's lovely to visit supermarkets in another countries. I enjoyed it a lot in Spain.:P The photos are great too, so colourful. :)
Wow...staple food in Spain is per definition yellow? ;)
Just for some paella I would love to go back to Spain.
Wow, beautiful photos and I agree, such colorful packaging, and olive oil is a must here, as well. I don't shop much in grocery stores, so I stuck with my family's staples. I also think it would be great to revisit the staple foods idea seasonally.
Hey, how bad is it that I don't include all the other Corner View bloggers at the end of my post? I'm not sure how to do that easily and I hope I'm not committing a major faux pas, here. Thanks!
Amy
what a fab idea - how old is daniel? i have a seven year old who would love to write to a friend from another part of the world.
mmm i ♥ the last one!
oh jane
i love your shots.
i never eat paella.

"tortilla" is eggs?
I'm right there with you Jane- those are some of my staple foods too!
xo
Hi there! I love your pics! And I have a 15 year old daughter and a 13 boy. They both speak fluent english and spanish but on writing; they're trying to write better in spanish, so it will be a great idea. cheers...Gina F

Cool pictures! Your staples look yummy :)
Great shots ... and I like your staples of chocolates :-)
Oh I think I might try to do that next week.
Oh how I miss Spanish supermarkets- in England they are so big and still I can't find anything to buy.
mmmm, that chocolate milk looks delicious!
yes, i'll go next! (remind me???)
ok my theme is going to be: the unveiling "showing your true self" cause I know carmie doesn't look like a bunch of colored pencils and you don't look like a cup of starbucks!!! hah! for those of us who have already shown ourselves, well, i guess we'll just have to come up with a creative alternative!
jane, i love these pictures... they remind me of spanish summer, with my parents... such a happy time...
