corner view "best kept secrets"

I thought to show you where you can get the best tortilla de patatas pincho, or a secret swimming hole we stumbled onto a few weeks ago, or even the "old" nautical club, which has the best lake views and the coldest beer (and is usually empty). But summer schedules always have me a little disoriented, and I´ve spent the last two days thinking it was Friday... (Please tell me the same thing happens to you...) So instead, I give you my secret melon soup recipe. It´s like gazpacho, except it´s made with melon... I call it... Melonacho...

3/4 of a ripe melon
1 ripe tomato (peeled)
1 green pepper
1 new onion
1/2 garlic clove
salt
pepper
oil
vinegre

Purée all the ingredients together, then pass through a sieve. Serve cold and garnish with serrano ham. Easy peasy...

For other best kept secrets visit these lovely blogs!

This will be the last CV of the summer. See you all in September! Sending you a big THANK YOU and hug! You guys are the best!!

HA! I've always been a little afraid of gazpacho. I can't imagine melon mixed with tomato, onion and garlic. I must broaden my horizons and try, I'm thinking Araina would love this! Have a great August!

I'm no martha stewart so easy peasy is always good for me. I don't like it when receipes intimidate me.
Thanks for Corner View. Have a great time with your family.
Take care.

Now I am hungry, Jane! :)

I didn't get to participate in last week's CV because I was at work during those hours and days, and it would be a breach of patient confidentiality if I showed what I was doing then. So, boo for me.

But, this week, I'm back :) and my CV shares the secret of why somethings are sooo yummy in our house.

See you in September, Jane!
Be well, friend!

Jaaaaaaaane!!!! My dear friend....I have to come back another time to read about these recepies, cuz right now I'm in my bed being sick and I can't even think about food...Even those C-cookies didn't convince me to copy the recepie, but under normal circumstances I'm absolutely sure I would be droooooooling like an insane. I don't even know what date it is today....pfff...so it aint just you honey!! Leave you for now, have a great day, XXX, Carmie

Mine's up!

So far all others I've read have been about food. Oh dear I hope I didn't get wrong.

Melon soup hey? Never had that before!! Interesting.

Sorry I don't cook. Maybe THAT is why I interpreted this differently:)

Oh well I always find the CVs to be fascinating! And i'm SO happy I joined.
