And really hope it will do. Soon.

The ones I live by are 'don't take things personally' (source: my husband), 'everything happens for a reason' (source: my father) and 'do what you love' (have just worked that one out for myself!). Sorry that's three but its hard to cut down!!

When God closes one door he opens another. I find it is usually even better than the one closed. Another is enjoy the journey. In my early 20's I spent way to much time stressing over stuff, now I just try to enjoy the journey.

Go to bed angry. This has saved my marriage. Sleeping on it seems to make most things seem trivial and better in the morning--when if we had talked it through the night before we could have fought all night.

your answer is exactly what I wanted to say..."this too shall pass"... my late husband used to say it all the time... and ... it always did.
and thanks Jane for giving us this pleasant game to play every day... hope you're enjoying yourself :)

Never postpone joy.

Breathe.

Trust in the Universe.

(all of which I would like to have inked on my skin one day as a constant reminder.)

I had to think about it but now I am pretty sure that "count to ten" is the best advice I have ever got. And also to accept the things you can't change. Or live the moment. A hard one this is :-)

oh, and here's one from my mother... keep your middle and fourth finges together and your hands will always look elegant!!!

love this last one about the fingers. I wonder if that could make me a lady ;)
"relax and enjoy" is the best advise given to me, and I'm still trying to learn it.
