Last thing you baked?
The BEST chocolate chip cookies this side of the Atlantic.... (OK, the best after Allison´s mom...)
You could actually be right that your chocolate chip cookies are the best this side of the Atlantic, because my mom is on the other side. The last thing I baked was cheddar cheese fingers, lavender cookies, zucchini bread, and red currant jam... all in one day, wheh! Which is why I haven't baked since then.
nectarines - cut side up, with brown sugar. served warm with a dollop of creme fraiche (with a bit of sugar and cinammon stirred in). very yummy desert.
unfortunately, at the moment i can only use an oven at a friend's, mine is broken...
had a cook/bake athon this week in prep for a trip: peach cream pie, blueberry muffins, oat cookies, and enchiladas. still have more to make. check out the peach cream pie on my blog today. delicious! nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com
On my vacation last week, I helped a whole bunch of aunts and cousins and nieces and nephews make and bake frisina -- a yeast bread with anise that my Italian grandmother used to make.

A frozen pizza for my husband! Oh dear... I'm on a diet and refusing to bake anything tasty in case I eat it all and gain a stone.
