Last thing you baked?

The BEST chocolate chip cookies this side of the Atlantic.... (OK, the best after Allison´s mom...)

You could actually be right that your chocolate chip cookies are the best this side of the Atlantic, because my mom is on the other side. The last thing I baked was cheddar cheese fingers, lavender cookies, zucchini bread, and red currant jam... all in one day, wheh! Which is why I haven't baked since then.

nectarines - cut side up, with brown sugar. served warm with a dollop of creme fraiche (with a bit of sugar and cinammon stirred in). very yummy desert.

unfortunately, at the moment i can only use an oven at a friend's, mine is broken...

Banana bread! I tried an oil and butter free recipe, with unsweetened natural applesauce. It was yummy!

Easiest peanut butter cookies on the planet. (1 egg, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. peanut butter, 350 degrees, for about 10 mins.) Yum!

On my vacation last week, I helped a whole bunch of aunts and cousins and nieces and nephews make and bake frisina -- a yeast bread with anise that my Italian grandmother used to make.
