what happens when you get a bunch of spaniards together?

There are usually bulls involved...

(Francisco Marco)

Don´t you think bullfighters have the nicest... capes...?

P.S. No bulls were harmed in the making of this post... ¡Besos!

Chris and I went to a bull fight in Seville on our honeymoon. I wasn't crazy about the idea (especially once we were in our "sol" seats) - but I had to admit, the drama and pageantry were pretty intoxicating. And when the sun went down I barely noticed the overly perfumed smell of greasy haired dandy in Burberry pants in front of me who blocked every picture I tried to take.

I love the color in your pictures. wish I was there.

Lovely post! Photo nr. 2 counting from the top is my favourite. That photo "is" spain to me. I can almost hear the buzz around the table.

So colorfully Spain.

I love the pictures, they are magazines material.

So I was getting all righteous and was going to comment that I've NEVER done that when getting together with my friends... but then I realized that of course I have! :) I particularly remember the capeas I use to go to with my Secondary school, those were SO MUCH fun!
As always, you're making me miss Spain!

Yes, I agree the colors are smashing. I think us Americans live in a colorless world compared to most Countries.

Brilliant photos... but as you could imagine, when Germans get together is has nothing to do with bulls, but with beer.

I love the first picture - that pink is beautiful.
It's different not to see the traditional red...or is it traditional?
Happy week.

I like Ian's answer, but you pictures are great. We just got back from spending the weekend in St. Augustine so I'm torn between answering that title question with a "Catholic Mission" or "Conquistadors".

I must confess that I haven´t go to any capeas or similar. When we were children, there were feast with bulls involved in nearly all the villages... Running in front of them, looking how my father and brother run...Now they are colourful pictures

It's a pity that I'm not good enough in English to understand everything about your blog… I like it anyway.

mmmm was that a capea?
There's a lot of fun there, I think. When my uncle got married they hosted one for his stag party.
Mmm... I think the best part of the bullfighters is their bottom.I never undertood why some people said they're sportists, but when I realised those bottom I figured it out xD

lots of kisses from this HOT Valencia.

Nice photos. Lovely and colourful. We live in the south of France where the bullfighting culture is strong too (near Nîmes).
